Key Achievements

1. The agreed definitions of benchmarking, validation and verification were used to preliminary classify each of the problems long-listed by the Working Group (following suggestions and surveys amongst full ON-DEM membership).

Focus for next period

1. Review the classifications made for the problems amongst their proposers.

2. Continue to (precisely) define all benchmarking, validation, verification and challenge problems to be tackled as deliverables for ON-DEM

3. Disseminate initial short-list of problems internally and externally and start their implementation

Input needed from other WGs

1. WG1 - Details of relevant problems to be initiated in relation to hardware architectures, upscaling and machine learning approaches.

2. WG5 - Detail of problems (and industrially relevant) challenges to be included as ON-DEM deliverables.

3. WG6 - Help with dissemination of the benchmarking, validation, verification and challenge campaigns once these are released/finalised by the Working Group
